The Team: Post-doctoral students: Florent Dupont

Florent Dupont

Florent Dupont did a PhD in Earth sciences and remote sensing at the University of Grenoble (France) and the University of Sherbrooke (Qc, Canada).

He did a postdoctoral study funded by BRISK between September 2014 and July 2015 in collaboration with Samuel Roturier and Marie Roué.

His work was an interdisciplinary analysis of reindeer winter pasture through microwave remote sensing and physical analysis of snow cover in combination with qualitative data from interviews made with Sami reindeer herders between 2009 and 2015.

The objectives were to develop an innovative methodology to quantify the effects of thaw-freeze events on snow cover and analyse the inter-annual variability of pasture quality.
